  #โรคเมลิโออิโดซิส (meiloidosis) - ประเทศไทย: เพิ่มขึ้น สำนักระบาดวิทยารายงานผู้ป่วยโรคเมลิออยโดสิสเพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 61 ในปีที่แล้ว [2565] เมื่อเทียบกับรายงานในปี 2564 จากข้อมูลการเฝ้าระวังโรคในปี พ.ศ. 2565 มีรายงานผู้ป่วยโรคเมลิออยโดสิส 3559 ราย จาก 70 จังหวัดของประเทศไทย 77 จังหวัด คิดเป็นอัตราป่วย 5.38 ต่อประชากรแสนคน เพิ่มขึ้นจาก 2,206 รายจาก 63 จังหวัดในปี 2564 นอกจากนี้ มีผู้เสียชีวิต 97 รายในปี 2565 เทียบกับ 6 รายในปี 2564 โรคเมลิออยโดสิสเกิดจากการสัมผัสโดยตรงกับ _Burkholderia pseudomallei_ ซึ่งพบในดินและน้ำที่ปนเปื้อน คำแนะนำสำคัญสำหรับผู้ป่วยที่มีความเสี่ยงต่อโรคเมลิออยโดสิส: 1. ปกป้องผิวหนังจากการสัมผัสกับดินหรือน้ำโคลน 2. หลีกเลี่ยงการเดินลุยน้ำที่ท่วมและการทำงานกับดินระหว่างหรือหลังเหตุการณ์สภาพอากาศรุนแรง/ฝนตกหนัก สวมรองเท้าบูทกันน้ำ 3. ดื่มน้ำสะอาด
